Pope Leo XIV
Over the last few weeks our community has celebrated the life of Pope Francis and our students have learnt about the conclave processes to select a new pope. We now celebrate the selection of a new pope and share Archbishop O’Regan’s prayer with you, so that together we can pray for Pope Leo XIV.O God,
shepherd and ruler of all the faithful,
look favorably on your servant Pope Leo XIV,
whom you have set at the head of your Church as her shepherd;
grant, we pray,
that by word and example he may be of service to those over whom he presides so that, together with the flock entrusted to his care,
he may come to everlasting life.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen
God bless Pope Leo XIV and his ministry of communion.
Student Agency Laudato Si
Our school has joined nine other CESA schools in participating in a Living Laudato Si (Student Agency Project). Fifteen Year 4 and 5 Students from our school have been selected to participate by taking action throughout the year to create a plan for change in our school. Our students are very excited about this initiative and are enjoying working with students from other schools to live and action Laudato Si.
This project utilises the CESA Student Agency Toolkit (EmpowerED) and Catholic Social Teaching to bring to life the Ecological Advisory Committee’s commitment “to nurture a student agency initiative that genuinely harnesses the passion and conviction of students towards social action and dialogue”.

Sports Day Bake Sale and BBQ Helpers needed: If you would like to assist in planning and preparing either the Sports Day BBQ or Bake Sale Stalls by joining a sub-committee to organise these events, please express your interest by email to cjarell@sts.catholic.edu.au
Community Garden update: Our Winter planting has been delayed by the unseasonal weather we have been experiencing. As soon as we get our winter rains and the garden beds are soaked, the soil will need to be composted before we can plant winter vegetables. The parish has asked if any of our parents would like to assist with composting the garden beds. If you would be interested in assisting with a working bee on a weekend or after school, please email cjarell@sts.catholic.edu.au
